Who We Are

NGN Forum and IMS Forum are a global non-profit industry association dedicated to the advancement of IP Multimedia Subsystem applications and services interoperability. We are a proactive group of industry leaders, experts and visionaries focused on revenue-generating services and best practices for IMS applications convergence. The IMS Forum is the creator and organizer of IMS Plugfest™, NGN Plugfest™, and IMS/NGN Certified™ the industry’s only event focused on IMS and NGN services interoperability verification and certification.

Our Mission

NGN Forum and IMS Forum mission is to accelerate the interoperability of IMS applications and M-Play NGN services and networks, enabling enterprise and residential consumers to quickly benefit from the delivery of quadruple play voice, video, internet and mobile services over broadband via wireless, cable and fixed networks. IMS applications and services comprise enhanced VoIP, IP Centrex / IP PBX and business unified communications including fixed-mobile converged services, femtocell, LTE, videoconferencing and web-collaboration, entertainment including IPTV and gaming, NGN/IMS networks include GSM, UMTS, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, DSL, Cable and Optical. NGN Forum and IMS Forum including Plugfest/IOT, Diameter, BSS/OSS, billing/charging and security in our working group activities.

Members Working Groups

The NGN Forum and IMS Forum Technical Working Groups are involved in the creation of test plans, the execution of the IMS Plugfest™ and NGN Plugfest™, authoring whitepapers, and developing NGN/IMS best practices and guidelines.The Marketing working group plans and participates in NGN Forum and IMS Forum aggressive outbound marketing activities, consisting of analyst briefings, industry events, press activities, speaking engagements, by-lined articles, case studies, NGN Newsletter and more.

Open Community

A networking group of NGN and IMS software and hardware developers, test and system engineers, and business and marketing managers and executives sharing their knowledge and experience.
